Teachers can compare published scores, missing work, and assignment status for one class, then open a student or submission list when follow-up is needed.
Sign in as a teacher and open Gradebook from the workspace. Gradebook compares published grades for one class at a time. Select the class in Filters to change the matrix.
Use Student view to compare students across assignments. Assignment view groups the same class data by assignment instead. The counts beside each view show how many students and assignments are in the current result.
Student view for one class. Scores and counts depend on the selected class.
The Average column uses published scores only. Missing and ungraded work are not treated as 0%. A real score of 0% is still included.
The Missing column shows how many assignments a student has not submitted. In the score view, an assignment cell can show a score or a state such as Missing, Ungraded, or Held. Select Status to see roster state instead of score.
The due-date filter has All due dates, Upcoming, and Past due. Use it with the selected class when you want to focus on work that is still due or work that is already late.

Select a student row or its View action to open the student drilldown. It brings that student's assignment scores and submission history into one place.

An assignment cell can open the related submission roster. The roster can focus on missing work, work that needs review, work ready to release, or late work.
Reviewing, reminding students, and releasing work stay in Assignments. Gradebook remains the place to compare class outcomes.
